In October 2008 Linda Gebar, one of Melbourne’s most popular and dedicated music industry personalities passed away just 10 days after giving birth to her second daughter Annaliesse. Linda was a long-time booker of The Punters Club, had managed Frente, The Blackeyed Susans and The Killjoys, and had worked for APRA and 3PBS. More recently Linda had been booking The Continental Hotel in Sorrento and was managing her partner’s band The Honeys.
On 18 January 2009 a tribute concert was held, and 20 songs played live were put on a tribute cd. You Triffheads should get it.
