David Westlake (maybe known to you from the band the Servants) recorded a 6 track LP in 1987, assisted by Luke Haines (guitar and piano), known from The Auteurs and his humble self, and by Marty and Alsy (The Triffids rhythm section).
This has been re-issued on cd but seems to be unavailable. I have ripped my vinyl copy.
I like this record with VU oriented pop very much.
