I'm almost dawn

Here you get "I'm almost dawn" a track written by David Mc Comb and James Patterson which is part of the "Darlinghurst demos" by Champagne Love Garden, the name of a James Patterson project.

Family name

This track from Dungeon tapes is to my knowledge the only one that appeared on CD, on the Inner city sound compilation. Here you get that CD version. A very great track that shows the need of (at least) a CD compilation of the cassette tapes the Triffids made in their early days.

Fans will note that the first lines of the song were re-used in Personal things.

Triffids live in Amsterdam - 7 december 1987

This is the first Triffids concert I got, taped from Belgian or Dutch radio (can't remember which one) on a BASF 90 min cassette. Not the complete concert though, just 14 tracks, but it's all I have. It was the last concert of that tour.

Blackeyed susan

Jonathan Alley did a one hour special (on Australian radio station RRR) on Dave's post- Triffids work.

In the show he did a cross fade of Blackeyed susan from the demo version on Black Swan disc 2 to the regular version from the album.

Cold feeling - Underground Lovers

Underground Lovers were an Australian hidden treasure for me for a long time. I heard from them on the Triffids forums and collected most of their material.

Cold feeling is the 6th studio album and has a lot of electronica on it. And pedal steel by Graham Lee ! A great album that now is out of print.

Triffids - Field of glass

The Field of glass EP was one of the first recordings by the Triffids I bought. Actually, it's three songs from the first Peel session. Now you can find it in full glory again on the Beautiful waste and other songs CD.

Did you know that they actually remixed FOG for the record ? Well then, now you can verify this as I have here the original Peel session version as broadcasted on the radio. Enjoy !

Busy busy busy

I haven't posted in a while because I'm so busy I haven't got much time to upload stuff. I'm nog giving up yet, but posts will be more irregular than they used to be.
